On Tuesday 15th May 2012 we held our first ever launch party at the Old Brown Jug, Newcastle Under Lyme, to welcome the magazine to the creative industry and to the public. And what a success it was. It was a great turn out, and thank you to everybody who came along to enjoy the cupcakes, music, poetry and artwork.

Photography & Body Image
For my dissertation I’m looking at the negative effect of fashion and advertising photography on body image.
I’ll post more about it another time, although any research material anyone can suggest is always useful! For now, I’ve come across this government petition against retouching images that are aimed at under 16s. Children as young as 10 years old are being affected by unrealistic perceptions of body image… make sure you take a look.
